1:1 somatic sessions

Somatic & Embodied Processing Sessions

For when your body feels like it's carrying more than your brain can think its way out of. 1:1 somatic sessions for anxiety, chronic symptoms, pain, overwhelm, or when you feel permanently switched on and keep pushing yourself until you crash.

Emily Rose Dallara

This might be for you if...

You don't need a diagnosis or a huge trauma story.

Sometimes "I'm overwhelmed and I don't know why" is enough.

  • You feel anxious, wired or constantly “on”
  • You struggle to properly switch off
  • You push yourself way past your limits
  • Small things suddenly feel like too much
  • You live with chronic pain or symptoms that get worse when you're stressed
  • You understand your patterns, but your body still reacts anyway
  • You're exhausted from constantly trying to hold everything together

What actually happens in a session?

We talk, but we don't only talk.

We also pay attention to what's happening in your body as we go.

That could be tension, pain, nausea, heaviness, restlessness, your breathing changing, going blank, or simply noticing the moment your body starts telling you it's had enough.

We slow things down and work with what's there, at a pace you can actually handle.

Try it for yourself first

Feel what this actually does before you book.

My 2-Minute Reset is the exact one I use with clients when they're anxious, in pain, can't put their phone down at night, or have ten minutes before a pitch and need to get in the zone.

It's a nervous system interruption, so your brain can switch back on and your body can get out of survival mode.

You don't need candles or a mat. Just your body and some headphones.

Pop your name and email in and I'll send it straight over. Audio and video.

One email with your reset. No spam, and you can leave whenever you like.

What are we trying to change?

A big part of this work is helping you build more capacity.

In normal-person language, that means:

  • Noticing you're stressed before you hit breaking point
  • Being able to stop before you run yourself into the ground
  • Feeling less permanently switched on
  • Handling difficult situations without them wiping you out
  • Recovering more quickly after hard days
  • Feeling less overwhelmed by emotions or physical sensations
  • Understanding what your body needs earlier
  • Feeling more able to deal with life without running on adrenaline all the time

What about pain and chronic symptoms?

Living with symptoms is stressful in itself.

Then there's everything that happens around them: worrying, pushing through, wondering whether you should rest, getting frustrated with your body, becoming hyper-aware of every change.

We can work with that whole response too.

For some people, this means pain or symptoms become easier to manage. For others, symptoms can reduce significantly and, in some cases, resolve over time.

There are lots of reasons symptoms can happen, so this work never replaces appropriate medical care. We're working with the part your nervous system, stress response and learned patterns may be playing in the picture.

Can this help with trauma or triggers?

Yes.

Sometimes your body is reacting to something happening now. Sometimes it's responding to something it learned a long time ago.

We don't need to force you to relive difficult experiences.

We build enough safety and capacity for you to stay with what comes up without immediately becoming overwhelmed, and over time we can gently work with the triggers and patterns that keep showing up.

My training & approach

Your body is constantly giving you information.

We learn how to hear it before it has to scream.

A quick note on therapy & medical care

This work is therapeutic and can be used alongside therapy or medical care, or as a standalone form of personal support.

I'm not offering psychotherapy or medical treatment, and I don't diagnose conditions or advise you to stop medical care.

If something is outside my scope, I'll tell you.

Accessibility

Reduced-rate spaces available.

I keep a small number of reduced-rate spaces available for people who are out of work or experiencing financial difficulty.

If that's you, just ask. You don't need to write me an essay explaining why.

Questions people ask me

Everything you're probably wondering.

Want to work together?

You can come because you're anxious.

Because you're exhausted. Because you're in pain. Because you keep pushing yourself until you crash. Or simply because life feels harder to deal with than you want it to right now. We'll start there.
